For me yes if it benefits the majority then lets have war.

(although in Buddhism, karmically, you will still receive both the good and the bad cause/effect as a result)

Or sit there not doing any thing to feed yourownself is Morality? (Expecting to be fed by somebody else who does the cooking)

Not really moral since not it causes others convinience and hardship.

For me the basis of these guidelines comes from Awareness and Wisdom... of the cause and effects of doing.

When we are born... we are still pure but we are also ignorant and lack the wisdom. Both defilement and wisdom grows later in life but it will grow much faster if we get rid of the defilements.

All of them(Maharajas) assumed righteousness and morality?

You traded Bad Karma for this sense of Morality?
Then there isn't any morality to what was mentioned earlier " Not to bring harm upon others and to self."

I do not think aggressive wars can benefit himself and others... it is like taking other's for one's benefit.

but if we are to defend then we should bcos we are not taking other ppl's thing but just protecting our interest... of cos it is near impossible to be fully moral even in defense but at least we shld be responsible for the country

Meaning you have the ability to kill the robber , you will kill the robber to return what was stolen from the pauper who cannot feed himself but beg in the streets?

kill the robber in return for something small is not worth it.. because u use the wrong method to get back the things and it creates more harm to others than it is beneficial to urself.. it is quite clear. law also have different level mah... i dont think robbing deserve death sentence. and i believe a beggar wont have much to be stolen... if u're kind enough u can simply give the beggar some money to survive.

the analogy is also to mean Dao is wisdom, de is mean compassion. hence morality is wisdom + compassion.

You may also wish to take reference from the moral values defined by the previous generations, cos what's accepted now may not be accepted then. One example I could think of which is not that controversial (so that I won't offend anybody Razz ) is the custom of kneeling to offer tea to elders at a wedding. In the past, if you don't, you are not showing respect. Now, nobody does that.

"moral values are on the decline" implies some sort of moral judgements and therefore requires you to define the moral rules which is a topic closely related to ethics.

Christian Ethics, Buddhist Ethics, Professional Ethics, Internet Ethics...etc

The set of principles by which a community abides. Smile
